The occ urrence of water sources with high concentrations salts is a common problem in the semi-arid region ofnorth-eastern Brazil. search for management strategies that can minimize effect salt stress on crops therefore extremelyimportant. As such, this study aimed to evaluate gas exchange and production yellow passion fruit ‘BRS GA1’as function ofirrigation using brackish doses potassium. research was carried out under fi eld conditions São Domingos,in state Paraíba, Brazil, randomized block design 6 × 2 factorial scheme, treatments comprising six irrigationstrategies (irrigat ion low-salinity throughout cycle – WS; irrigation high-salinity during thevegetative stage VE; fl owering FL; fruiting FR; successive vegetative/fl stages - VE/FL;successive vegetative/fruiting VE/FR) two potassium (60% 100% recommended dose 345 g K2Oper plant per year), four replications three plants plot. Two levels salinity (1.3 4.0 dS m-1) were used duringdifferent phenological crop. Irrigation at m-1 reduced leaf potential, osmotic potential,stomatal conductance, transpiration, rate CO2assimilation fruit, regardless strategy. Thecontinuous vegetative compromised fruit.
